How Covid-19 is accelerating adoption of decentralized clinical trials

Medable and LabCorp CRO Covance signed a deal to accelerate adoption of decentralized trials, a trend that has been helped along as COVID-19 has created challenges to conducting trials dependent on traditional brick-and-mortar sites.LabCorp, the lab-testing giant, said May 28 that its CRO, Covance, would partner with Medable, a company that makes software for digital clinical trials, to give patients access to applications that allow them to participate in decentralized trials while also enabling interoperability, remote data collection and engagement between patients, sites and investigators.
