CYTO Asia 2017 -- We discuss three representative case studies which highlight the importance of instrument-to-instrument standardization and the need for standardized application settings among instruments. Through case studies, we demonstrated that by employing the standardization process using hard dyed BD? Cytometer Setup and Tracking, CS&T beads, comparable frequencies were obtained for the leukocyte populations regardless of the whole blood samples being analyzed in two different instruments across two different sites In addition, a third case study is presented as a learning opportunity in which the consequence of the standardization process being performed on the incorrect target population is discussed.
