Keith Hyland, PhD

Dr Hyland graduated from Brunel University, London, England in 1976. He received his PhD in biochemistry from Brunel in 1980. He held postdoctoral fellowships at the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France and at the Institute of Child Health in London England, 2000-2006. He held the title of Lecturer in Biochemistry at London University 1987-1989. From 1989 to 1995 he was Senior Research Scientist at the Baylor Research Institute in Dallas, Texas.

Keith Hyland, PhD

Dr Hyland graduated from Brunel University, London, England in 1976. He received his PhD in biochemistry from Brunel in 1980. He held postdoctoral fellowships at the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France and at the Institute of Child Health in London England, 2000-2006. He held the title of Lecturer in Biochemistry at London University 1987-1989. From 1989 to 1995 he was Senior Research Scientist at the Baylor Research Institute in Dallas, Texas.

Karla J. Walker, PharmD

Dr Walker is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry in toxicological chemistry and a fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry. She has an undergraduate degree in medical technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacokinetics.

His research involved developing a software algorithm to decipher the germline origins of human immunoglobulin and T-cell receptors and then using that software to analyze large data sets of human antibodies to understand their diversity. He received the American Association of Immunologists-Huang Foundation Young Investigator Award in 2007 for his work in anti-HIV antibody composition.
